They're using GPS. Hacking or not, it's not very practical when you're on the run from the government. Their phones should explode. And their hands should be on fire.

GPS & Wut

@Dude.: GPS is a passive system, not requiring the emission of any active signals. The biggest worry would be the general use of a smartphone, which usually means some form of cellular service (traceable). There IS the possibility of using municipal (free access) wireless, though, which, in many cities, is an option, and is far more easily spoofed.

@Mika Kyubi: Yeah, that is a bit of a red flag now that I think about it either way...

The big thing I'm concerned about is whether or not more candid pics and vids show up on the news.

@Guest: As our society (both in the U.S. and abroad) incorporates more and more localized web-aware/accessible surveillance devices into its' day-to-day existence, the more and more impossible it becomes to avoid showing up somewhere, somewhen. The best and only possible deterrent, aside from complete isolation, is to instead spoof this by having such things show up in so broad an area as to make any single sighting un-creditable as a source of intelligence. There's a LOT of ways to do this, though some work better than others, and some are easier to detect as spoofs. If, however, you can also make the real, actual sightings of the hybrids equally unbelievable, then it complicates intelligence groups finding out their location immensely.
The biggest worry I can see is from things not commonly found, like portable biometrics readers and the like, more than what would, from any creditable news source, have to be dismissed as pranks and/or make-up.

@foducool: Curiously, going by baloon color it might be Pawsy, whose prefered style of wardrobe usually is none. :P

@Mika Kyubi: Heh, of course. No one would think to send swat-ninjas after a simple Theatre Company who wanted to put on a cat and bunny version of say: West Side Story.

November 20th, 2016, 2:06 am

Oh, West Side story with cats and dogs. hehe I doubt it would go over well with the original Romeo and Juliet. They would be too noticeable doing Cats.
